Membership contributions are used to pay for the day-to-day operations of our three temples, which serve up thousands of meals, host thousands of visitors, and offer thousands of silent and spoken moments of Dharma. We appreciate all membership contributions.
Membership brings us into an ongoing relationship, whereas a donation is a one time gift to support SFZC. Membership contributions provide stability for the community, and out of gratitude we offer members benefits that support their practice.
Members who contribute $300 per year or more are eligible for household memberships, which include up to three additional adults or children in their membership. Everyone included in one household membership must reside at the same address, and all of them are able to enjoy the benefits of membership. If we receive their email addresses, they will each receive information from SFZC about their membership and its benefits.
All memberships are set up for auto-renewal unless that box is unchecked during the enrollment process. Those who opt out of auto-renewal will receive an email and postcard renewal reminder within a month of their expiration date.
Renewing your membership is the same process as signing up for the first time. Just visit join.sfzc.org and make a membership contribution. We use the membership database to keep track of your membership history.
To change to a higher membership category, simply make an additional contribution. Your category will automatically be changed and you will receive an acknowledgement letter in the mail. To change to a lower membership category, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
To update your credit card, contact the Database Manager, Sandra Peterson, at email@example.com.
To cancel your membership, contact the Membership Manager, Myoki Stewart, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
